Successful eCommerce goes beyond the ability for customers to buy your products or services online.

People are spending more and more money online. From clothes to music to electronics to toys, consumer spending on the web is growing exponentially. If you're not selling your products on your website, you're missing a major sales opportunity, losing business to your competitors, and cutting yourself off from a global marketplace. It's time to take advantage of the massive potential of the web. From custom shopping cart solutions to targeted cross-sell features, our Toronto ecommerce solutions mean business. An ecommerce site is a great way to increase off-site sales (if you have a storefront setup), or boost your existing online sales with up-to-date technology that automates the process and speeds things up. Make money while you sleep. Once you're set up, everything happens automatically. So when that customer from Australia or Thailand places an order in the middle of the night, your e-commerce system processes the transaction, accepts the payment, and sends the necessary data to your fulfillment department to get the items packed and shipped. All while you get some shut-eye.

In today’s day and age, even brick and mortar businesses need a selling presence online. Business-savvy merchants understand this growing market and tailor their sales strategies around it by incorporating eCommerce solutions. Effective eCommerce sites marry digital marketing with traditional marketing so your company presents a clear cut, timeless message. Orison has the proven track record necessary in digital marketing, eCommerce website design & Development, brand and identity, and custom applications to build you a winning eCommerce website.

HTML PHP

E-Commerce

In the context of a website, HTML is the data that PHP outputs when it finishes running. HTML defines the structure and, to some degree, the appearance of a web page. If you're learning to build web sites, you need to learn HTML first. Generally speaking, any site that's big enough to receive more than a handful of visitors per month isn't going to be built with only HTML. You might find static HTML sites for small local businesses, but any site that generates revenue online is not using only HTML. You won't find any sites that are built with only PHP, because PHP by itself is not capable of rendering a web page without using HTML. You will find web services that use PHP + some output format other than HTML, like XML or JSON, but those are designed strictly to be read by other computer programs, not by humans. In most cases you cannot tell for sure whether a given site is using PHP or not. Even if the URL ends in .php, that doesn't necessarily mean the site is using PHP (although it probably is).

HTML is a language used to describe to a browser how to display text and other objects in a browser window. It is not a programming language. HTML works on a client computer (the system on which the page is being viewed). PHP is a scripting language, and can be used to create web pages written in HTML. PHP runs on the server (the system from which the page comes), and is a full-fledged programming language.

    A Static Website

A static website is the simplest kind of website you can build. Static websites are written in HTML and CSS only, with no scripting. The only form of interactivity on a static website is hyperlinks. If you intend your website to be a small one (3 pages or less), then a static website might be the easiest way to go. But if you want to share elements between pages (such as logos or menus), you’ll have to duplicate the HTML on each page. Static websites are easier to make than dynamic websites, because they require less coding and technical knowledge. However, fully static websites are very uncommon these days, since there is so much that scripting can do.

    A Dynamic Website

A dynamic website is a website that not only uses HTML and CSS, but includes website scripting as well. There are two main reasons why you’d want to use website scripting on your site:

    1. you want an interactive web app that people can use, not just read
    2. you want to be able to share HTML code between your pages.
This website is a dynamic website, for both of the above reasons. It’s not a full-blown web app like Facebook or Google, but it does have interactive elements like contact forms and search boxes. This website also shares the same HTML code for the header, menu and sidebar between all pages of the site. If you want a dynamic site, you will need to learn a coding language such as JavaScript, PHP, Ruby on Rails or ASP.NET.
